LETS is a network of people who agree to share their skills, knowledge and goods with one another by means of a local currency or exchange system known as LETS credit.

When a person joins the LETS scheme they are registered on a database of people, with a public profile, as offering a certain skill or expertise in a particular area, eg hedge clipping, baby sitting or wood joinery. If they are then their LETS account is credited while mine is debited the by amount of credits we agree.
